Cut the meat into 1 ½” square piece. Melt the dripping in a stew pan and brown the pieces of neat.
Then pour in sufficient boiling water to cover, and let it simmer very gently for about an hour.
Cut the vegetables into reasonable sized squares, add them into the stew pan and boil until the vegetables are cooked.
Mix in the mustard, sauce, and sugar, and if necessary, thicken the gravy with a little flour.
Boiled macaroni may be added to the stew and simmered for about 20 minutes.
