Gajar Halwa

Ingredients

  • ½ kg carrots
  • 1 ½ cups sugar
  • 2 cup full-cream milk
  • ½ tsp cardamom powder
  • 4 tbsp ghee
  • Few chopped pistachios
  • Few chopped almonds

Instructions

  • Grate carrots and put them in a pan. Add milk and cook till carrots are soft.
  • Add ghee and keep stirring. Later, add sugar and cardamom powder. Cook well. Mix well and cook till ghee leaves the sides of the pan.
  • Garnish with chopped almonds and pistachios.
  • Serve hot or chilled.
