Patra ni Macchi (Pomfret Wrapped in banana leaves)
Ingredients
- Pomfret
- ½ cup ground coconut
- ½ tsp each of ground ginger garlic, chili, cumin seeds
- 2 tsp ground coriander leaves
- Bit of lemon juice
- Sugar and salt to taste
Instructions
- Mix all Ingredients together and adjust taste to make the chutney.
- Cut the pomfret through the bone and make 4 slices, each ¾” thick.
- Coat properly with the coconut chutney and place each piece separately in the banana leaf. Tie with thread and steam for 10-15 minutes, or till cooked.
- Remove from banana leaves and serve.
